Carrie Underwood’s ‘Greatest Hits: Decade #1’ Earns Platinum Certification
Congratulations are in order for Carrie Underwood: Her Greatest Hits: Decade #1 album has been certified platinum.
Underwood is the only country artist -- and one of just six artists of any genre -- to have an album released since December of 2014 go platinum. During its first week, Greatest Hits: Decade #1 sold 94,000 copies -- the best debut by a hits collection from any artist in more than six years. The project was also the best-selling hits collection of 2015.
Greatest Hits: Decade #1 features 25 songs from throughout Underwood's first 10 years in the music industry, as well as two new songs: "Something in the Water" and "Little Toy Guns." "Something in the Water" hit No. 1 and has been certified platinum, while "Little Toy Guns" has been certified gold and is nominated for Best Country Solo Performance at the 2016 Grammy Awards.
Underwood is currently gearing up for her upcoming tour, The Storyteller Tour — Stories in the Round. The trek is scheduled to play in 40 arenas across the United States and Canada from January through May of 2016.
More information about Underwood's upcoming tour can be found on her website. Greatest Hits: Decade #1 is available via Amazon.
