John Travolta Celebrates His Birthday

People magazine sends me emails, today's email had a story of John Travolta celebrating his 69th birthday in Las Vegas with a small group of friends and family. He seems very happy, there was an instagram link of the celebration, he is dancing with his beautiful daughter Ella dressed beautifully in black. Kelly Preston will be gone 3 years on July 12, 2020, the death of a spouse and parent is so difficult to move forward from, it's good to see John and Ella happy.

For sure, beginning with Diana Hyland, then his Mom, wife and friend Olivia, all from breast cancer I think. Not to mention his teen aged son who passed away.

I know he is an entitled snob. He was filming a movie in my area. ( Lucky Numbers ) He and his crew/ equipment blocked the entrance to a cemetery.

I have a family member who is a funeral director and he had a burial in that cemetery. He personally spoke to John and explained the situation. John told him the burial could be postponed to another day.

The police had to get involved. He finally had to move for the grieving family. I lost all respect for him after hearing that.

Your post is eye opening and I believe it. I can't get past the Scientology thing. I have enjoyed many of his performances. But that does not speak to the person that he is in real life. I don't like him.

@PhilaLady1 Oh trust me. The story is 100% true. I find it difficult to believe anyone could be so cold. I understand he and the funeral director had some really strong words while the poor family was there waiting in their cars behind the hearse.

@Carmie ... This is disappointing to hear (and sad what he put the family through.) l would think having deaths of family and friends of his that he would have been more understanding...but apparently not !! This has definitely changed my mind about him!!

We know the person we see/admire on the screen is not a real person. When we read things like this I think we can still like his acting and when we leave the theater that's the end of it. We don't want to meet him or get his autograph because he is probably not the kind of person we want to admire IRL. But it wouldn't really stop me from enjoying Grease. It's just the way it is. (IMO)
