No Reserve: 1975 Buick Electra 225 Limited Coupe

This 1975 Buick Electra 225 Limited Coupe is finished in burgundy over a red vinyl and velour interior and powered by a 455ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include a white vinyl landau top, a power-adjustable split front seat, a factory eight-track stereo, power windows, locks, and mirrors, and more. The car was sold new from Whitaker Buick of St. Paul, Minnesota, and is said to have been recently acquired by the selling dealer from the son of its original owner. This Electra 225 is now offered at no reserve with spare parts, factory literature, original sales paperwork, and a clean Minnesota title in the seller’s name.

The exterior is finished in Burgundy (74) with a white vinyl half roof, quad headlights, bumper over-riders, detachable fender skirts, and power mirrors. The plastic front hood deflector is damaged and a dent is present on the front valance, among other blemishes pointed out by the seller in the photo gallery below and in this video.

This is a re-list after the car previously sold on BaT in December 2020 and the winning bidder failed to follow through with their commitment to purchase. This was not due to any fault with the car. The winner has been banned from future participation on BaT and their buyer’s fee was not refunded.

A set of 15″ steel wheels wear factory hubcaps and are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A whitewall tires, which are noted to have flat spots. The car is equipped with power-assisted steering and brakes.

The seating surfaces are upholstered in red quilted velour with wood veneer accenting the matching dashboard and door panels. Amenities include a power-adjustable split front seat with a fold-down armrest, a factory eight-track stereo, three-point front seat belts, and power locks and windows. A three-spoke steering wheel frames a 100-mph horizontal-sweep speedometer with a speed alert. The five-digit mechanical odometer indicates 56k miles, though true mileage is unknown.

The 455ci V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and delivers power to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission. An oil change and inspection were carried out by the selling dealer.
